"OCEAN/SAND WAVE PATTERNS" is a 12" square painting on canvas board. While visiting Balboa Island recently, I began seeing repeating patterns of sand/ocean waves. It made me want to paint the wavy motion with cool heavy body acrylic paint for the ocean and warm colors for the sand. I varied the size of waves to give the painting movement. The complementary colors find each other to create both balance and energy.
